Day 3, Idaho to South Dakota

Started out the day at L&C State Park outside Onawa, Iowa looking at a replica keel boat. Imagine having to pull it through shallow water.

We continued north to Sioux City and saw the Sgt. Floyd memorial. He was the only one to die on the journey, from a burst appendix.

We saw a sign for Wynot Nebraska and wondered, why not?

why not

Went down a small road looking for a historical maker. Ten miles of gravel road later we found a beautiful picnic site right on the river.

Stopped at Gavins Point dam and visitors center. Found the perfect t shirt but it only came in kid’s sizes.

Followed along the river, another dirt road, and ended up at Pease Creek campground.
