Day 7 Lolo Pass, ID, and more

Woke up early in a 44 degree tent, freezing our butts off. Even though it was still dark, packed up, grocery shopped, and headed out.

Bonus we got to see herd of deer and multiple sunrises as the came over the different ranges.

Laughed at Wisdom International airport. A cut strip of grass with pythons (auto correct, pylons) on each side, and a  outhouse at the end with a big picnic table.

Went to Nez Perce battleground where they fought the Calvary because they didn’t want to go to the reservation. More about Nez Perce National Historic Park.

Crossed the Continental divide at Chief Joseph Pass.

Drove Lolo Pass into Idaho: over 100 miles of twist curvy roads . I think it would be great fun on a motorcycle but long and stressful in a car. Billy was in the back with his eyes covered.

Bitter Root river along side Lolo

Tonight we are staying in Umatilla Oregon at a motel. Need to rest up for our trip to the Pacific Ocean tomorrow. We will have completed our trail.

Some pictures I have no reason for.

Project for Jason?
beer for farmers

And lovely scenery along the river.

Total miles so far 2919.
