Plan for the Santa Fe Trail

From Jo Ann: This is another trip Paula though of some time ago. We plan to start this trip April 28 from Kenosha, return before May 11.
Along the way we will add to our collection of visits to Madonna of the Trail Statues; Vandalia, IL, Council Grove KS, and Lamar CO. We previously visited the Albuquerque Madonna, New Mexico 2020.

From Paula: I thought this trip was Jo Ann’s idea and she thought it was mine. Great minds think alike my grandma used to say. This time we are being joined by my two sisters, Kathy and Lynn. It will be a lot of fun and a lot of learning history. I have learned a lot already just preparing the route. So much to see, we could take a month to see it all so need to be selective.
Another big difference is that we are not camping in the tent. Not so much gear but i will miss waking up at night and seeing the beautiful starry sky. Guess i could just walk outside, trying not to wake everyone else up.
